Company History DynMcDermott Petroleum Operations Company (DM) is a synergistic corporation formed by four companies: DynCorp, based in Reston, Virginia (presently owned by Computer Sciences Corporation), McDermott International and International Matex Tank and Terminals (IMTT), both located in New Orleans, Louisiana; and Jacobs Engineering headquartered in Pasadena, California, with offices in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Houston, Texas. DM began its tenure to provide management and manpower to operate and maintain the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) and related pipeline systems in 1993 as the Department of Energy's (DOE) prime contractor. The initial five-year management and operating contract was awarded on April 1, 1993, and extended under an option for a second five-year period that began on April 1, 1998.
